FAQ
What is a Peppol e-invoice?
An invoice as a structured XML file (UBL 2.1) following the European standard EN16931 and the Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 specification. Governments and a growing number of businesses in the Netherlands and Belgium require this format; in Belgium B2B e-invoicing has been mandatory since 1 January 2026.
Do you also send the invoice over Peppol?
No. Klik&Shop is not a Peppol Access Point. You get a valid UBL file that you upload to a portal, email to your customer or send through your accounting software or Access Point.
Do you store my invoices?
No. Invoices are processed in memory only and forgotten right away; they are not stored or logged. The full validator on the website even runs entirely in your own browser.
What is the difference between the API check and the browser validator?
The browser validator runs the complete official check (UBL XSD + CEN EN16931 + Peppol BIS 3.0.21 Schematron). The API check is fast and covers the structure and about 120 of the most common rules, but it is NOT the complete official Schematron. See the docs.
